Claire Stomer always thought her life was supposed to be something more than it was. And for a long time, that's exactly what she thought her life was -- something more. She was a product of wonderful upbringing, she had a brother who she adored and friends she was close with. She had her education wrapped up with a little bow, and she had a perfect little life. It was all just part of the game though, because in reality, behind closed doors, Claire was not as well-put together as she wanted the world to believe that she was.

The Stormers were a family of scientists, and so it made complete sense that Claire would go into science herself. She quickly go to the top of her class in high school, and went into college eager to study anything and everything that she could. While her family wasn't rich with money, it was rich with knowledge, and Claire was lucky enough to have had that passed on down to her -- it just meant that her schooling went that much easier. College came and went, and Claire found herself with her bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate -- because she wanted to.

Most people found that a pretty blond like her shouldn't be as intelligent as she was, but she always was on who wanted to prove that looks weren't everything. The thing was, Claire ended up marrying right out of college in 1995 to a man named Richard, someone that she thought could respect her mind, understand her need for independence, and protect her. For a while, it worked out that way. But after the second year of marriage, Richard started to change. He got more controlling, he got more manipulative, and when Claire had gone out for lunch with a close male friend of hers, that night Richard became physically abusive. But when he was good, things were really good, and Claire found herself falling into the same pattern that so many victims fall to.

The marriage lasted for way too long, for almost ten years to be exact, before Claire was able to get out in 2005. And she did. She started to work on herself again, and started to see friends once more. She moved away from Richard and got herself settled in a new location, doing what she could to start a new life. The new life that she always told herself that she deserved. It was a struggle though to get back on her feet, because so much of her life had been dependent on what Richard thought of her, and it took almost five years of therapy for her to get out of that mindset -- and she sometimes still struggles with this. But Claire found herself determined to be the best she could be, and did her best to achieve just that. Her past needed to become her past, and though it was hard to put it behind her at times, she kept pushing forward and found herself stronger in the long run because of it.

Around 2013, Claire had wanted to get back into science, and she had wanted to get back to doing something that she could love. Something for herself. She ended up applying for the open Chief Science Officer position at RobotX, not realizing who the Chief Executive Officer was -- and knowing that he was an old friend of hers. Of course she kicked herself for not actually researching the company more, and when they two of them met to discuss her qualifications, it was a joke that she brought up. Fearing that she might need to prove herself to him, and that this might have been doomed from the start, Claire found herself pleasantly surprised when the interview was more of a conversation between intelligent people -- and that conversation went on for three hours. The next day, Nate offered her the position, and Claire has served as CSO at RobotX ever since, finding herself happier than she could ever be. And thanks to a new job at a friend's company, Claire found herself being able to do just that. Working with Nate has been an eye opening experience for her, and while she has been working there for five years, she sometimes still feels like she's just a newbie starting out. She learns new things every day, she feels more and more of herself return, and she's proud of what she has accomplished.

But true to the form of a scientist, she never really made time for her personal life. It was never a huge concern for her, since fixing herself and working on herself was far more important. She had closed herself off to new connections, keeping her close friends close and those she didn't know well (or those connected to a part of her past where they did not support her progress) were pushed away. It had been a hard decision to remove the toxic personalities from her life, but she had found herself better off in the long run. But it has only been recently that Claire feels comfortable enough to put herself out there again, to take a chance at making new friends or perhaps finding a new love that can cherish and respect her like she deserves to be. Most of her life is one day at a time, but she's always moving forward and never looking back.
Susan Storm and her younger brother, Johnny, lived uneventfully on Long Island until their mother, Mary Storm, died in an automobile accident. Their father, Franklin Storm, a doctor, failed to save her. Despondent, he began to drink and gambled away the family fortune, eventually winding up in a penitentiary for murder after accidentally killing his loan shark. The children went to live with their Aunt Marygay Jewel Dinkins, who ran a boardinghouse. When Susan was in her late teens, she fell in love with one of her aunt's boarders, Reed Richards, who was working on his third doctorate at Empire State University. Sue later followed Richards to California, where she half-heartedly tried to break into show business.

Reed was working on an experimental starship when the project lost its government funding. He decided to launch the prototype, certain that the flight would succeed and attract more funding. Susan went along for her own reasons. Ben Grimm, a test pilot, took the controls. Johnny filled out the crew. Reed had made one mistake: he failed to shield the cabin from cosmic rays, and a chance solar flare intensified the radiation. The experience gave each of them superhuman abilities, and perhaps more importantly, it forged almost unbreakable bonds between them. They became the Fantastic Four, and Storm took the name Invisible Girl. [...read more]

Considers herself passionate about science and helping others, but finds it very difficult to be passionate about herself in any way. Her years in an awful relationship has ruined how she views herself and she's trying her best to fix it. But she's a work in progress.

Puts others ahead of herself, as she'd rather help others fix themselves, than fix herself.

Has no pets, but has always wanted one.

Is close with her brother Grant, and considers him to be one of her best friends, and her favorite person. They tease the fuck out of each other, but she'd do anything for him.

Has been working at RobotX for five years, and has enjoyed every single second of it. She's debated leaving a few times (unknown to anyone) to start her own research company with Grant, but she's never been able to work up the courage to do so. Also, there may be some other reasons as to why she stays.

Is completely unlucky in most relationships after her divorce, and has stopped trying to figure out online dating all together. Mostly because who the hell has time for online dating?
